Year-round swimming beach on the 2,700-acre man-made Poverty Point Reservoir at the park’s North Marina Complex.

Swim hours: Swimming is allowed from sunrise to sunset. The North Marina Complex is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and until 10 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and days before holidays.
Facilities: Swimming beach, boat launch, marina, fishing pier
Lifeguard: No lifeguard

Getting there

From I-20, take the Delhi exit and go north approximately 3 miles to the park entrance. The swimming beach is at the North Marina Complex off Louisiana Highway 17.

Rules to know before you go

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Use only Coast Guard-approved Type I or Type II personal flotation devices in swimming areas.
No glass containers in enclosed beach areas.
